The use of diamond wire saw in stone mining has the advantages of strong adaptability to the spatial terrain of the mine, small cutting gap, fast sawing speed, and large blank size. It can completely avoid the waste of resources, noise, pollution, energy consumption and other disadvantages brought by traditional mining methods such as blasting and flame, and achieve efficient, environmentally friendly and energy-saving green mining.
The following is a brief introduction to the application of diamond wire saw technology in stone mining
(1) Marble mining
Diamond wire saw is the main mining equipment for marble soft mines. In some marble mines that use mining technology, a mining method combining beaded wire saw with chain split saw machine (or chain split diamond band saw cutting machine) is also used. Chain diversion equipment is mainly used to cut separation surfaces that are difficult to cut or have low cutting efficiency, such as the vertical back and horizontal bottom surface where the separation block is connected to the ore body, so as to comprehensively improve mining efficiency. This is the best technical combination solution for marble mining and separation at present.
(2) Granite mining
Considering the current performance and comprehensive mining costs of beaded wire saws, beaded wire saws are generally only used to cut one or two vertical surfaces connecting the granite separation block to the ore body during granite mining, while the vertical back and horizontal bottom surfaces connecting the granite separation block to the ore body are currently separated by a combination of drilling and controlled blasting.
(3) Stone shaping
Stone shaping is usually completed in mines or processing plants. Large blocks of rough material can be shaped by beaded wire saws, but in terms of performance and processing costs, beaded wire saws are currently mainly used to shape marble rough materials. For granite rough materials, beaded wire saws are rarely used for shaping.
(4) Plate cutting
Plate cutting is a process with a large processing volume in the stone processing industry. It is usually cut with a diamond circular saw blade, but the plate size is relatively small. A single beaded wire saw can cut large and extra-large plates with no thickness restrictions, but compared with a frame saw equipped with dozens or hundreds of saw blades, the overall cutting efficiency is low and the processing cost is high. Therefore, a single wire saw is often used to cut very thick plates or small batches of large plates of different thicknesses. In recent years, a new multi-rope parallel beaded wire saw cutting technology (also known as combined wire saw cutting technology) has been developed. On the same saw machine, as long as the wire saw blade is replaced, the wire saw blade can be cut into the same size. Beaded wire saws with different uses and beaded wire saws that change the speed of the beaded wire saw can easily cut marble or granite large plates. By adjusting the spacing of the beaded wire saw, the thickness of the finished large plate can be flexibly changed. It has advantages that frame saws cannot match. Therefore, multi-rope parallel beaded wire saw cutting technology is a large-scale large plate cutting technology with great development prospects.
(5) Special-shaped stone processing
Diamond wire saw processing special-shaped stone is one of the most advanced CNC stone processing technologies at present. Although it has only a 15-year development history, it has become the main equipment for processing high-value-added special-shaped stone. In addition to the common beaded wire saw special-shaped stone sawing equipment, there are also some small desktop beaded wire saws specially used for processing mosaics, curved edges and other special-shaped stone products.
